Bridgerton Star Reg-Jean Page to Host Saturday Night Live SNL

Publish date: 2024-05-17

Bridgerton fans are in for a treat. The Duke of Hastings himself, Regé-Jean Page, is hosting Saturday Night Live on February 20, and it's safe to say that the world is ready for his monologue.

Page was catapulted into the spotlight thanks to his dashing turn as Daphne Bridgerton's love interest, Simon Bassett, also known as the Duke of Hastings, in the Netflix hit. His hosting gig is sure to garner Page even more fans, and will most definitely reference Bridgerton's many sex scenes and scandalous moments.

Bad Bunny will serve as the musical guest on Page's SNL episode.

In a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Page opened up about his family's response to Bridgerton's racy sex scenes. The actor revealed that he'd had to warn some family members of which episodes they should avoid. "We've got a family WhatsApp group, so there's a couple flashing red light emojis and there's the odd peach emoji—certain people have threatened to rate my peach," he explained.

However, not all of Page's family members received the warning before watching Bridgerton, and the actor received some terse words from one of his cousins who was unprepared when the Duke of Hastings started stripping onscreen. "A couple of cousins missed the memo," Page told Norton. "So they're watching the show and I got a very stern message in my Instagram DMs just going, 'There really needs to be a cousin warning.'"
