Britney Spears Calls Out Justin Timberlake's Basketball Skills Following "No Disrespect" Comment
If you throw shade Britney’s way, she is gonna throw it right back.
At the opening of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on December 13, Timberlake performed a rendition of his 2002 hit “Cry Me a River,” which producer Timbaland has admitted was inspired by JT’s breakup with Britney Spears. At the show, Timberlake caught everyone’s attention when, before starting the song, he casually said “No disrespect” to the crowd. And in a recent Instagram post, Spears seemingly responded to the comment.
It all started when she shared a clip from the unreleased version of her “Make Me” music video. In the caption (which has since been deleted, but was shared by People), the singer wrote about the process for filming the scene, saying, “Oh Jesus Christ, the stories … I could tell on the set of this one☝🏻 !!! There’s always more to the story and that’s not even half of it !!! It was shot in Arizona 120 degree heat 🥵 … 2 different version videos were shot for this song … most boys say ‘OH I’M SHOOK!!!’”
The Woman in Me author went on to seemingly reference Timberlake’s comment, adding, “Psss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball 🏀 and he would cry … no disrespect 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!”

Famously, Spears and Timberlake played basketball together in 2001 for the third annual Challenge for the Children basketball charity event in Las Vegas. Spears also stepped onto a basketball court for her “Outrageous” music video, which was never completed after she injured her left knee.
The pop superstar discussed her relationship with Timberlake in her recent memoir, The Woman in Me. In it, Spears says that, following their breakup, everyone looked at her as the “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy.” Now, she’s getting the final word.
