J.Lo's 12-Year-Old to Release a Children's Book This Fall

Publish date: 2024-09-07

Emme Muñiz continues to prove she's a multitalented force, much like her mother, Jennifer Lopez.

According to People, the 12-year-old daughter of Lopez and musician Marc Anthony, wrote and will release her first children's book, titled Lord Help Me, on September 29. The story, which was inspired by Muñiz's love of sloths and practicing prayer, will be released in both English and Spanish this fall.

"In school I learned about sloths and how they're facing extinction, so I began to pray for them in my nightly prayers," said Muñiz in a released statement. "I wrote this book to help raise money to save sloths while also teaching other children how we can pray and ask for help—two things that bring me a lot of comfort."

Lopez shared her excitement over her daughter's new literary feat with a sentimental Instagram post, congratulating her on her latest accomplishment. The pop star shared a photo of her daughter smiling with an early manuscript copy of her book along with her words of encouragement.

"So proud of my lil coconut Emme, as she shares her own daily prayers in her very first book LORD HELP ME!" wrote Lopez. "This book will offer families a way to embrace the peace and power of everyday faith. It's not out until 9/29, but you can pre order at the link in my bio. 📖✨ #PowerOfPrayer #ProudMama"

Muñiz's upcoming storybook isn't the first time the 12-year-old has graced the world with her talents. Back in February, Muñiz shocked everyone with a surprise cameo in Lopez and Shakira's joint Super Bowl Halftime Show, where she effortlessly performed a version of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA," as well as her mom's 1999 hit "Let's Get Loud."
